Dagny's view of ONNO's Organic Clothing (and other things):
I like the philosophy of organic: having an organization similar in its complexity to that of living things. That's us. We are an organization, or at least we like to think we are somewhat organized, there are titles such as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, President, but I digress. We believe our organic clothing is similar to living things. For one thing, it breathes. It does. It brushes its teeth with peppermint mouthwash, then sits on your skin and lets the air in and out. For another it likes to snuggle. It likes to curl up against your body and bring a smile to your face. But the best part about organic clothing is that it doesn't die. It really doesn't. There's no tears, no funeral, although you could have a memorial party to remember all the great times you've had in your organic clothing.
What exactly is organic clothing? It's clothing that has materials that were put into it the same way they came out of the ground. When the cotton is growing, we don't douse it with chemicals you can't pronounce, we don't try to kill off every living creature that might alight on it. We let it grow up like a child, find its way in the world, then pluck it, weave it and bring it to you, so you can put it on and know that the world is not run by evil corporations that don't care about you or me, who have upped tobacco advertising to children and dogs. We care about you. Sometimes we remember to care about ourselves in between making your organic clothing for you.
